It’s easy to write fashion tips for the people who can afford to buy at Abercrombie and Fitch or Dolce Gabbana. But let’s face it, at that point you can afford your own tailor and custom-made suit jackets, you don’t have to buy wholesale skirts to save money. Dressing stylishly and fabulously on a budget is way, way harder! But hey, your Zofia has been down in the dumps in her long and rich life and I have a couple of tips for you.
- Hair and decs! You can easily turn heads simply with changing your hairdo. Try barrel curls or let your hair flow in the wind. Or maybe mousse them up and pile’em high?
- You can also change your look for cheap simply changing makeup habits. Use a different color scheme, go with a more dramatic makeup for special occasions, or go softer than usual.
- Get a mani-pedi. This isn’t that expensive, and you can do it yourself. Paint your nails in a different color, let them grow and file them in a different style. A new color or shape will make you turn heads as well!
- Accessorize! Instead of getting a new wardrobe revamp it with a single small item. A clutch purse can be a small add-on that’s also a practical item holder. A colorful silk scarf suddenly changes a tunic into a classy piece, whether used by a neckscarf, headscarf or a belt!
- Shoes can also make vast difference. Look at your wardrobe and try to figure out what shoes it requires. If you have a lot of jeans, maybe you could use a pair of cowboy boots?
- Make your own clothes! You can take up sewing or knitting, and if you don’t have experience you can customize it easily. Use some fabric glue, iron a fancy pattern on a T-shirt, or tie-dye a white shirt. You can take a hundred wholesale skirts and change each of them into something different.
And finally remember that in these dark times, the best fashion accessory is the positive attitude!
