A couple of words on sweaters

A cardigan is a kind of jumper that’s simply zipped or buttoned on, like a suit jacket. A pullover is pulled over your head. So it's not a surprise that the ladies prefer cardigans since they don't have to ruin their exquisite hairdos.

But not every woman can understand the perfect way of wearing a cardigan. Any cardigan would look better on a special body type, that's why I found a great guide on how to change a pullover into a cardigan. In general, making a sweater yourself is the best way to discover what are your fashion strengths and weaknesses. For example,  if you are slender and tall, a fitted cardigan would look magnificent on you, but a large and baggy sweater will engulf your body and look shapeless.
Start with a basic cardigan which could be homemade. A plain button-down jumper in a neutral hue is a very versatile garment. Combine it with other outfits, from informal to chic! Wear it with a fancy buttoned-down blouse as a work top, or chuck it over a T-shirt for an easygoing appearance. During the wintertime, cardigans are the classic layering outfit - even lightweight cotton ones give an additional layer of warmth. And since you wear it for layering, don’t overburden yourself, use lots of light sweaters!
Even considering the above, a massive, snug oversized cardigan can not just be warm in the chillier months but will also soften your appearance. Keep in mind, though, that it will feel relaxed and saggy.

You can wear this kind of cardigan opened to draw notice to a hilarious T-shirt or a sophisticated blouse. It should distinguish from it, so instead pick solid colors if you want to demonstrate the shirt’s decorations. A cardigan can also soften a daring outfit - if it’s nice and tender. With a modest skirt, it can evoke a classy retro feel, adding some ruffles and decs. And with a pair of bell-bottomed jeans you can also strive for that hippie 70s atmosphere. You can look even better if you pull on a sash over a giant cardigan, which will emphasize your waistline.
