Do you think that teenagers should be allowed to wear baggy sweatpants for school? In my days this was an absolute no-no. Teens usually wanted to wear jeans and shorts during the summer, some biked to school but few young people wore loose baggy sweatpants even for the gym class. Now more and more people wear baggy sweatpants because they are very comfortable. I think that more schools would buy sweatpants wholesale so that their students would have great new uniforms, but IS IT POSSIBLE? Who knows.
I think there’s no problem with wearing casual clothes to school if you’re a teen. Do you have to dress up to school? No, you need to be able to move freely, unrestricted. Many girls wear leggings to school, why wouldn’t boys be able to wear baggy sweatpants for men as well? Jeans are now too mainstream for the rebel, and in sweatpants, your legs can really breathe. Do you think your teachers would dislike you for wearing sweatpants? As long as they’re clean, you’re not harming anyone, I say go for it. At the end of the day clothes are clothes, it shouldn’t matter what exactly you’re wearing as long as you behave okay. Their job is to educate you, not to give you fashion advice.
The school is a workplace for you, so some might say you should dress a little bit more formally. But you also need to work hard and focus on your education, not on your baggy sweatpants, don’t listen to what others have to say. And outside of your lesson, it’s where you see the same people every day - your classmates and teachers, you don’t need to surprise them, they are either your guardians or your friends. Don’t be overly self-conscious and embrace your baggy sweatpants. It’s not be-all end-all situation. Later when you grow up you should follow your workplace requirements, but your convenience should help you in your work, not the other way round.
